Selected Crudes
A combination of crude selection and process engineering gives us the ability to "tailor-make" specific Naphthenic and Paraffinic products for specific uses. This versatility allows us to make very safe oils, which have unique properties for lubricating and process oil applications.

Multistage Hydrotreating
Calumet’s base oils are produced in a multistage hydrotreating process operating at pressures above 2500 psi. This system selectively saturates aromatic oil molecules and converts them to naphthenic and paraffinic molecules, thus enhancing performance characteristics.
